Get Filename Without Extension
Loop through files in a folder, strip the file extensions from the filenames using the ExtractFileName(), and more
This task will loop through files in a folder, strip the file extensions from the filenames using the ExtractFileName(), Left() and InStr() functions and display them one at a time using a message dialog.
ExtractFileName() extracts the name and extension parts of a file name. The resulting string is the rightmost characters of FileName, starting with the first character after the colon or backslash that separates the path information from the name and extension. Left() returns a specified number of characters from the left side of a string. InStr() returns the position of the first occurrence of one string within another.
Note: For the task to work properly, add a folder named temp to the root of your C:\ drive or specify a folder to point to in the 'Loop Files' step of the task.
