FTP - Rename Folder

Rename folders via FTP

This sample task will demonstrate how Automate can rename folders via FTP. This same task can be modified to rename files as well. Automate will do the following:

1. Logon to a FTP server.

2. Execute the "User Defined" RNFR (RENAME FROM) command using AutoMate's FTP Advanced action to specify the original folder name.

3. Execute the "User Defined" RNTO (RENAME TO) command using AutoMate's FTP Advanced action to specify the new folder name.

RNFR
Syntax: RNFR from-filename
Used when renaming a file. Use this command to specify the file to be renamed; follow it with an RNTO command to specify the new name for the file.

RNTO
Syntax: RNTO to-filename
Used when renaming a file. After sending an RNFR command to specify the file to rename, send this command to specify the new name for the file.
