Q & A with Brandy Lulling

What is the most interesting or impactful project that you have had the chance to work on?

I would have to say being a co-business owner for the database that our support staff uses. This allows me the opportunity to be the liaison between the users and development and have a substantial impact on other business units migrating into that database from their own platforms. I also get to lead testing efforts of new features and bug fixes and communicate upcoming changes. I am enjoying the challenge that this project brings and know that my efforts positively affect my colleagues.

What would you say is the biggest obstacle that customers must overcome in developing their BI strategy?

Understanding their data is the biggest obstacle. Our customer base can be super technical, or they can be employees with little technical background like nurses at the ER desk. So, for some, understanding their data, how it relates to each other, and where to get it is the most significant hurdle that they need to overcome to make the best use of their data.

What would you say are some of the common pain points that you help customers solve?

I think helping customers get their data to tell a story is essential to maximizing its impact. There is so much that data can do to have real life impact on employees, the business, and customers whether it is reconciling pay and tenure, organizing, and interpreting patient information, or analyzing inventory, there is always a story to tell. If the data exists, Sequel can help paint the picture and remove the roadblocks on how to get it done.

What do you want customers to understand the most about BI and how they can maybe benefit from it or what they should be prioritizing?
As long as the data exists, we can help you easily and securely extract and massage it so that it can be used in the most meaningful way. Whether you need graphics, pivot tables, executive reports, or Excel output Sequel Viewpoint can help. On top of that, our awesome support team is here to help with not just fixes, but also how-to questions and general optimization pointers. So, please reach out.
