Uninstall the Borland Database Engine

 

Steps to uninstall the Borland Database Engine.

1. Locate and delete the current Borland Database Engine's folder. It's usually found in one of two places:
   C:\Program Files\Borland
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared
   
   A quick way to find the Borland Database Engine folder is to inspect this registry key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Database Engine\DLLPATH  
    
2. Remove the Borland Database Engine Registry entries.  The registry nodes to delete are:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland
    
3. Delete the bdeadmin.cpl file from C:\Windows\System32
    
4. Restart the machine
