VAI Partners With HelpSystems to Add Document Management Capabilities to S2K Suite

February 16, 2017

RONKONKOMA, N.Y.—VAI (Vormittag Associates, Inc.), a leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider, today announced a partnership with HelpSystems, a leading provider of document management solutions. Incorporating HelpSystems’ document and forms management capabilities into VAI’s S2K Enterprise will provide customers with a fully integrated document management and workflow ERP system.

HelpSystems’ document management capabilities, which include automated process and workflow management, document scanning, digital storage, data capture, forms management, and document creation, will become available to VAI’s customers over the next few months. With HelpSystems’ accounts payable workflow, which is being rolled out first, VAI customers will be able to maintain a paperless archive of invoices that is well-organized, easily searchable, and secure. Although companies in every industry require an easy-to-use accounts payable system, HelpSystems’ other capabilities will be particularly helpful for customers in the food and beverage and manufacturing industries. VAI customers in these industries can use HelpSystems’ solutions to automate quality testing with electronic food safety and product quality forms.

“VAI customers like seamless integration between their ERP and our document management tools,” said Howard Latham, general manager of document management at HelpSystems. “Our new partnership with VAI enables us to further improve customers’ day-to-day operations.”

“We’re excited to add HelpSystems’ document management and workflow capabilities to our ERP solution because it provides customers with all necessary information in a single, digitized system,” said Joe Scioscia, vice president of sales at VAI. “Companies in every industry are looking for ways to streamline business processes, and by integrating document management, and workflow into S2K Enterprise, our customers can increase efficiency and collaboration throughout the organization.”

Long-time security expert, Pat Botz, recently joined HelpSystems. Botz goes way back in the computer industry. He wrote the Basic compiler and CAD tools for Control Data supercomputers and then lead the development of CAD tools for its AIX workstation line three decades ago. He eventually became a lead security architect for the IBM i platform, and left Big Blue a number of years ago to start his own security firm, Botz & Associates. Dan sat down to have a chat with Chris Heim, chief executive officer of HelpSystems, and John Vanderwall, vice president and business unit manager for security services at the company, as well as Botz, who now has a senior security services consultant position at the company.
