IBM i Security Expert Robin Tatam Earned CISM Certification

Tatam demonstrated information security management expertise to obtain the globally accepted standard of achievement for IS management professionals

Minneapolis, MN, August 12, 2014—PowerTech, a division of HelpSystems and leader in security solutions for IBM i servers, is proud to announce that Robin Tatam, Director of Security Technologies, has fulfilled the requirements to become a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Administered by ISACA, CISM certification demands at least five years of verified information security experience, three of which must involve information security management. Candidates are also required to pass an examination and comply with ISACA’s Code of Professional Ethics.

Certified Information Security Managers must show an understanding of the relationship between an information security program and broader business objectives. Obtaining the certification further establishes Tatam as a security expert with knowledge and experience in developing and managing information security programs.

With two decades of AS/400 and IBM i consulting experience, Tatam is an IBM-certified technical consultant. He has authored numerous articles for leading trade journals and conducts technical presentations online and at user group meetings, including COMMON.
