What Will Be Covered in Your Robot/REPORTS Phone Demo
Our standard phone demo for Robot/REPORTS covers the topics listed below. We’ll use either a report set that you already have on your system, or we’ll create a test report set by using the automated report setup menu option. During the demo, we will:
- Walk you through the settings on the Report Set Panel, and talk about how they affect all reports defined to that set
- Discuss how using a combination of the right compare values on the Report Name Panel allows you to process your reports exactly the way you want
- Talk about how you can use Bursting Instructions to divide a report into sections. These sections can then be distributed differently than the whole report or the other sections
- Discuss your report distribution, and the different types of output options available through Robot/REPORTS
- Show you how to move around in the Robot/REPORTS screens, using the Navigator as well as using menu options to jump to a specific area
To set up a phone demo, call a Technical Support person, or fill out the information below and fax it to (952) 933-8153.

When preparing for a phone demo, consider the following:
- Will you primarily be using the Search, Robot, or Execute type of processing?
- What are your goals in using Robot/REPORTS? (For example, archiving, less paper use, creating PDF documents, auto-emailing, bursting, bundling, etc.)
- How will you be distributing your reports?
- Can you have a spool file available for us to work with? (Be sure your spool file is located in an output queue that is not attached to a writer.)
- If you have a chance, review the Robot/REPORTS Getting Started guide, especially the Introduction and Report Set components.
