Returning To Robot/NETWORK Version 9

Product:
Robot/NETWORK

Use the following procedures to return Hosts, Alternate Hosts, and Nodes to Robot/NETWORK version 9 and Robot/SCHEDULE version 9.

Returning A Host Or Alternate Host To Robot/NETWORK 9

This section describes the steps to return a Host or Alternate Host to Robot/NETWORK version 9:

  1. Enter the following command to move the Robot/NETWORK 9 objects to their correct location:
  2. MOVOBJ OBJ(RBTNETLIB/RBNHDQ) OBJTYPE(*DTAQ) TOLIB(RBTHOSTV9)

  3. Rename or delete the RBTNETLIB and RBTNETNODE libraries.
  4. Rename the RBTHOSTV9 library to RBTNETLIB.
  5. Rename the RBTNODEV9 library to RBTNETNODE.
  6. Delete the RBTNETPT user profile.
  7. Enter the following command and locate the Help Systems directory:
  8. WRKLNK

Enter option 2 next to the Help Systems directory and option 9 next to Robot NETWORK to remove the Robot NETWORK directory and its subdirectories.

  9. Run the following program on the Host:
  10. CALL PGM(RBTNETLIB/RBNHCLEAN)

  11. Run the following command for the Host:
  12. RBTNETLIB/RBNCFGHOST (*NONE)

  13. Run the following commands for each alternate Host:
  14. RBTNETNODE/RBNCFGNODE (host IP address) (alternate host IP address)

    CHGAJE SBSD(RBTSYSLIB/RBTSLEEPER) JOB(RBNSTRHOST)

    JOBD(RBTNETLIB/RBNHAJ1)

  15. Edit the RSLPM file in the RBTSYSLIB library and update the following records by renaming the GUIAPP objects to their Robot/NETWORK 9 names:
  16. Product Code Description Network 10 Object Name PMSEQ Network 9 Object Name
    RBN* Robot/NETWORK GUIAPP 90 RBTNET
RNN* Robot/NETWORK Node GUIAPP 100 RBTNODE

    * Robot/NETWORK Host

    ** Robot/NETWORK Node

  17. Edit the RSLLP file in the RBTSYSLIB library and update the NOD record to rename the RBN394N program to RBN394. In the following example, we use EASYVIEW to edit the record.
  18. Locate the NOD record and edit it.

Rename the LPPGM program RBN394N to RBN394 and save the record.

Returning A Node To Robot/NETWORK 9

This section describes the steps to return a Node to Robot/NETWORK version 9:

  1. Rename or delete the RBTNETNODE library.
  2. Rename the RBTNODEV9 library to RBTNETNODE.
  3. Delete the RBTNETPT user profile.
  4. Run the following program:
  5. CALL PGM(RBTNETNODE/RBNNCLEAN)

  6. Run the following command:
  7. RBTNETNODE/RBNCFGNODE (host IP address) (alternate host IP address)

  8. Edit the RSLPM file in the RBTSYSLIB library and update the following records by renaming the GUIAPP objects to their Robot/NETWORK 9 names:
  9. Product Code Description Network 10 Object Name PMSEQ Network 9 Object Name
RNN* Robot/NETWORK Node GUIAPP 100 RBTNODE

     * Robot/NETWORK Node

  10. Execute the following command:
  11. CHGAJE SBSD (RBTSYSLIB/RBTSLEEPER) JOB (RBNSTRNODE)

    JOBD (RBTNETNODE/RBNNAJ2)

Note: This change will not take effect until you end and restart the RBTSLEEPER subsystem.

Returning A Host Or Node To Robot/SCHEDULE 9

This section describes the steps to return a Host or Node to Robot/SCHEDULE version 9—Robot/SCHEDULE 10 will not work with Robot/NETWORK 9.

  1. Rename or delete the ROBOTLIB, RBTMRGLIB, and RBNRBTMST libraries.
  2. Rename the ROBOTLIBV9 library to ROBOTLIB.
  3. Rename the ROBOTMRGV9 library to RBTMRGLIB.
  4. Rename the ROBOTMST09 library to RBNRBTMST.
  5. The ROBOTV9JRN object contains the Robot/SCHEDULE journals in the V9Journal save file. If you want to see the entries in the audit log, move these journals to the ROBOTLIB library.
