How do you change the default “From” e-mail address that Robot/ALERT uses?

Robot/ALERT creates its default “From” address as Robot.ALERT@domainname, where domainname is the domain name that was entered for option 12—Change TCP/IP domain information—for the Configure TCP/IP (CFGTCP) command.

You can change the “From” address in Robot/ALERT by doing the following:

1. Determine which vendor name Robot/ALERT is using.
2. Enter the following commands from a command prompt:

   ADDLIBLE RBTALRLIB

   CALL RBA915

3. Add a record.
4. On the Vendor Record panel that displays, enter the e-mail address that Robot/ALERT should use (instead of Robot.ALERT@domainname).

Note: For each vendor, you can choose either a specific e-mail address, or the POP3 e-mail address associated with the vendor.
