| Notes: | ||
| 1. | You must have IBM Media and Storage Extensions (MSE) to run Robot/SAVE. | |
| 2. | This is the minimum release/modification level required to use the graphical user interface with i5/OS V5R4 or higher. See the Help/FACTS: Changes for Help/Systems GUI products on i5/OS V5R4 or Higher. If you do not use the graphical user interface for these products, you do not need to update to the release/modification level specified for i5/OS V5R4. | |
| 3. | You must have JDK 1.3 (or higher) installed to install Robot/TRANSFORM on the System i. JDK 1.4 must be installed to run the IFS monitor job. | |
| 4. | If you use Robot/SAVE to archive reports, you must have Robot/SAVE R11M06 (or higher) installed on your system. | |
|
5.
|
Robot/LPAR Version 2 (or higher) requires HMC Version 6, Release 1.3 (or higher). | |
| 6. | Updating Robot/AUTOTUNE:
V5R3 and V5R4: Robot/AUTOTUNE must be updated when upgrading from i5/OS V5R3 to V5R4. Several Robot/AUTOTUNE programs must be replaced to update the product for V5R4. Do one of the following to update the product if your operating system is V5R3: |
|
| a. | If Robot/AUTOTUNE is at R07M16 or later, change the data area ATRELMOD in ATLIB before updating the product to V5R4. Enter the following command:
CHGDTAARA DTAARA(ATLIB/ATRELMOD(1 14)) VALUE(‘R07M15 060101’) You then can update Robot/AUTOTUNE to R07M16 or later for V5R4. |
|
| b. | If Robot/AUTOTUNE is at R07M15, you can simply update the product to the most current version for V5R4. | |
| V6R1: When upgrading your system to V6R1, you must delete Robot/AUTOTUNE version 7 and perform a new installation of version 8 on the V6R1 system. You cannot install Robot/AUTOTUNE 8 until the upgrade to V6R1 is complete. The new installation of verison 8 requires you to reenter your setup values plus a new security code.
Note: Robot/AUTOTUNE 8 does not run on a V5R3 or V5R4 system. Contact Help/Systems for a Help/FACTS describing the update process. |
||
| 7. | If you are running Robot/NETWORK Host or Node on a V5R4 system, RBTSYSLIB must be at R01M93 on all systems in the network. | |
| 8. | In V6R1, IBM changed the default behavior of the Power Down System (PWRDWNSYS) command. The default value (*ENVVAR) for the CONFIRM parameter on the PWRDWNSYS command now displays a confirmation window. This will cause the Robot/SAVE Restricted State Utility (RSU) to halt and wait for a confirmation before performing the IPL. Enter the following command on a command line to permanently bypass the confirmation window on the PWRDWNSYS command:
ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(QIBM_PWRDWNSYS_CONFIRM) VALUE(*NO) LEVEL(*SYS) |
|
| 9. | Robot/NETWORK 9 on an MMA system running V5R4 must be at the level shown. Robot/NETWORK 10 on an MMA system running V5R4 must be at R10M10 (Host) and R10M09 (Node). | |
