E-mail and FTP / Report Distribution / Spool Archival

  • Saves paper and shipping costs
  • Eliminates report distribution hassles
  • Improves information access
  • Archives important information
  • Saves YOUR time

ESEND provides a wide range of e-mail distribution (for reports and files), spool archival and output queue forwarding capabilities for the System i - at a fraction of the cost of competitive solutions.

ESEND automatically e-mails System i spooled files and PC files on the IFS in a variety of formats. It can also FTP System i database files or IFS files to other servers. In addition to file transfer, ESEND is also useful as means for backing up or archiving output queues. ESEND provides a series of intuitive, easy-to-use menu options to facilitate its use. Default settings tailor many aspects of e-mail to individual user requirements.

ESEND is a standalone product that may be used on an ad-hoc basis from a command line or from promptable menus. ESEND commands may also be called from within a program or job scheduler to incorporate e-mail or FTP delivery within regular operations. ESEND also includes a System i Navigator plug-in that lets you operate even more efficiently than the green screen. It appears as an option via the Basic Operations node or its own node.

E-mailing a spooled file has never been easier. Within System i Navigator, you can define your own rules for bursting and distributing spool files via e-mail or FTP.

ESEND is easy to install and use. You'll be able to e-mail or FTP files within minutes of installation, or even set up a complex report distribution mechanism in a single day!

Summary of Features
E-mail Attachments
Supports up to 300 attachments per message with a maximum message size of 16 Mb.

Spooled files
Sends spooled files to another System i server in standard spooled file format. Spooled files may also be converted to HTML, RTF, TXT or PDF for deployment on a company's web site or for other external distribution requirements.
Database files
