Automate Schedule Technical Specifications

Whether you’re looking for a distributed job scheduler or a centralized job scheduling solution, look no further. Using the latest in web technology, Automate Software delivers real-time information about your enterprise schedule to your desktop.

Modern Technology

When you install Automate Schedule, the Tomcat web server software is installed to provide the Web pages you view in the Automate Schedule browser. The installation process also installs a PostgreSQL database to store your job rules, schedules, and user information. Unlike other distributed job schedulers, with Automate Schedule, both the web server and the database are ready as soon as the installation completes.

Automate Schedule Browser

The Automate Schedule browser is the graphical user interface you use to perform centralized job scheduling from a PC or a laptop. This interface works with the following software:

  • Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 10, Google Chrome 13 or higher
  • TCP/IP access to the Enterprise server

Application Integrations

Automate Schedule supports integration with many business applications, allowing centralized job scheduling of your business and IT processes. Automate Schedule has an interface for the following applications:

  • SAP NetWeaver® Application Server 4.0, SAP R/3 4.5, 6.10/6.20/ 2004, 7.0 (2004s), and 7.3
  • Microsoft SQL Server® 2012, 2014, 2016, or 2019
  • Informatica PowerCenter® 9.1, 9.5, 10.1.0, 10.1.1, and 10.2
  • Oracle E-Business Suite® R12.0, 12.1, 12.2

Automate Schedule provides additional functionality over the built-in Oracle job scheduler and other application-based schedulers.

For example, Automate Schedule runs SAP batch job scheduling across multiple SAP systems and ties in outside processes—including concurrent requests from the Oracle job scheduler in E-Business Suite—immediately after installation.

Enterprise Server

The host server on which you install Automate Schedule is called the Enterprise Server. It contains the database that stores your batch job management information and an HTTP server that sends information to your browser. The Automate Schedule Enterprise Server supports or requires the following software and hardware:
