Course summary
In five, 1-hour sessions at 1 p.m (Central) on
- September 14, 16, 20, 22 & 24
you'll learn how to:
- View iSeries security components
- Manage user and group profiles
- Manage authorization lists
- Work with system values that affect security
- Understand i5/OS object security
- Understand Integrated File System (IFS) security
- Use the security tools menu
- Secure your output queues
- Set up and read the security audit journal
- Understand single sign-on strategy
- Do security monitoring using exit points
- Begin to approach using firewalls and ports
- Begin to look at security from a Sarbanes-Oxley viewpoint
Length
Five 1-hour sessions
1. A high-speed Internet connection (DSL, cable modem, or T1).
2. A screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher.
Registration
Each person who wants to take the class must register. Class size is limited to give participants the individual attention they need. Registration is required at least 72 hours before the class. You can cancel your registration up to 72 hours before the class without penalty. No-shows will be billed.
