My system is still on V5R3. How can I update the Robot products?
Update files are designed for V5R4 and higher because both IBM and Help/Systems dropped support for V5R3 last year. If you still have systems on V5R3, contact Technical Support for assistance.

Can a Robot/CONSOLE message set be copied from one system to another?
Yes. This is especially easy to do if you are using the Robot/CONSOLE Explorer, Robot/CONSOLE 5’s graphical user interface. First, sign on to the system from which you want to copy a message set. Right-click the message set and select Export to an XML file. Save this file to your desktop or a folder. Next, sign on to the system where you want to import the message set. Right-click the name of the system and select Import XML. That’s all there is to it!

Can Robot/ALERT send text messages to a cell phone?
Yes. The wireless address is a ten-digit cell phone number, followed by the service provider’s address and .com. For example:

0123456789@service_provider_address.com

Contact your cell phone service provider to find out the correct address to use.

In Robot/REPLAY, is the password for my Replay Objects encrypted in the file in RBTRPYLIB?
Yes, Robot/REPLAY encrypts both the password and any profiles that you have entered for use by your Replay objects.
