Recent enhancements to Robot/SAVE 11
Robot/SAVE users running Version 11 Modification Level 23 have access to a variety of new commands and features added recently. Here’s a quick overview of these enhancements.
The Robot/SAVE Poll Data Center (RBSPOLLDC) command lets you verify connectivity between systems, gather information about systems included in a data center, and review information on a system that you plan to add to the data center. To use the command, all of the systems you want to evaluate must be at R11M20 (or higher) and configured as part of the same Robot/NETWORK network.
The Guided System Restore panel now includes more information; allows more flexible viewing and sorting; generates a printout that shows the planned restore process; and creates a list of the volumes needed that can be viewed, changed, and reviewed.
The Robot/SAVE Scratch Pool (RBSSCRATCH) command lets you move a volume from an Ad Hoc backup to the scratch pool. Users with legacy programs that require the same volume name to be written to again and again find it useful.
The Robot/SAVE DUPTAP by Class/Set/Rotation (RBSDUPROT) command lets you duplicate an entire group of volumes attached to the rotation and supports virtual tapes.
Robot/SAVE now supports backing up Domino databases—including non-logged databases—without turning on transaction logging.
