New Robot/SAVE command introduced
Robot/SAVE 11.20 introduces a new command to help you easily determine the status of systems in a data center—RBSPOLLDC. Use this command to identify communications problems between the Data Center Management System (DCMS) and the Data Center Participant Systems (DCPs). To use the command, all the systems in the data center must be running Robot/SAVE 11.20, or higher.
When you run the RBSPOLLDC command with the “Participant to poll” parameter set to (DCP)*ALL, it reports the status of all systems currently included in the data center. If you want information for a specific system in the data center, enter the system name on the DCP parameter. Use the RBSPOLLDC command to verify connections between the Data Center Management System (DCMS) and the participant systems. The command checks the following items:
- The connection
- The release level of Robot/SAVE on each system
- If Robot/SAVE is licensed on the system
- The primary language code for the system
- The release level of Robot/NETWORK on each system
- If Robot/SAVE can sign on to the participant system using the RBTNETPT user profile
- If the Robot/SAVE monitor jobs are active
- If there are any updates waiting to be applied or sent from the systems in the data center
- If there are any data center errors
You can run the RBSPOLLDC command from any system in the data center.
