How can I save and restore spooled files with Robot/SAVE?
If you are using OS/400 V5R4 (or higher), use Robot/SAVE’s Command Template. For example, suppose you have a type 1 backup class and set that has a list of libraries to be saved and you want to save the spooled files from the output queues in those libraries. Go to the Backup Set Definitions panel and enter option 9, Advanced Save Commands, next to the appropriate backup set. When the Backup Set Save Command Template panel displays, select a save code of SL/Type L. Press function key 10 to display additional parameters, and change the parameter for spooled file data to *ALL. Note: If you are using Robot/SAVE’s object archive, you can use the Object Archive Menu to restore the output queues and spooled file contents only if the spooled files do not exist on the system.
