blueprints - does anyone use them?

I currently create Visio flowcharts to document all of our job schedules. I maintain roughly 2,000 jobs on our production system, and about 1,500 of them are reactive jobs. I have tried using the blueprint feature, and even breaking it down to individual streams of the schedule, it is very confusing at best. The lines are going every which way and it is very difficult to see all of the reactivities. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something, is anyone using them successfully?
