Feed My Starving Children

As I start my business day and think about the day’s agenda, one item pops out at me—our quarterly charity event. I can't help but think about how fortunate we are to have so many good things in life. Meanwhile, there are children around the world struggling each day just to find enough food to survive.

Recently, I joined about 20 coworkers as we visited an organization called Feed My Starving Children in nearby Chanhassen, MN. This organization is helping feed children around the world in places like Haiti and Pakistan. Volunteers pack the basic essentials to create meals and donate money to buy supplies.

Did you know that Feed My Starving Children can provide a meal to a child for only 19 cents? And, out of each dollar they receive, only 6 cents goes toward administration and overhead. Feeding 5 starving children for a dollar is a great way to be a good neighbor worldwide.

Each quarter we have a similar event to give back to our community and provide for others who are less fortunate. Its not always just about automating computers!
