Robot: Man’s Other Best Friend

I love the thought of man’s best friend—the dog. We never had a dog in our family until about three years ago. Now, I live with this 70-pound creature named Murphy. (Believe me, after all these years in IT, I really didn’t like the idea of anything called Murphy—reminds me too much of Murphy’s Law.)
But this animal has grown on the family. Murphy is a true dog: he’s always there; he’s excited to see me after work; he loves to lie down wherever the family congregates; and he’s very reliable.
Well, so is Robot/SCHEDULE. Every night Robot/SCHEDULE runs millions of jobs worldwide with reliability we count on.
Robot/SCHEDULE doesn’t get sick, it never takes a vacation, it always runs the schedule. We’ve used Robot/SCHEDULE to automate the most difficult situations—it really is the data center's best friend. Robot/SCHEDULE loves a challenge. It’s music to my ears to hear someone say that they’re probably the most complicated or largest environment we've ever worked with.
Believe me, there are some very large IBM i batch environments. One customer told me they ran 8.7 million jobs through Robot/SCHEDULE in 2010. Another told me that they are the largest IBM i customer in the Northeast. Guess what—they are continually trying to become lights-out. Today they even run most of their High Availability (HA) switchover jobs using Robot/SCHEDULE.
Robot/SCHEDULE not only runs your schedule, it maintains a complete job history. It has forecasting, job flowcharting, and audit and management-level reports to help you pass audits easily. It’s safe to say that Robot/SCHEDULE has never missed an automation challenge. That’s reliability.
So, after more than 25 years of using and working on Robot/SCHEDULE, you might say that Robot is one of my best friends too.
